Ownership
Rare Dollar is independently owned and operated. It is not controlled by an exchange, a protocol foundation, a token issuer or an investment fund. Full registered-entity details are published here once the publishing entity is incorporated.
How we make money
Rare Dollar is funded by advertising and paid placements. Specifically:
- Sponsored content and press releases. Published under a clear label, at separate URLs from editorial, never bylined to the newsroom, and with every client link marked so it passes no ranking credit.
- Display advertising and newsletter sponsorship. Labelled where it appears.
We do not accept payment to write, alter, favour or remove editorial coverage. An advertiser buying a placement buys that placement and nothing else, and paying us does not buy protection from being reported on.
Conflicts of interest
Where a company mentioned in an editorial story is also a commercial client, that relationship is disclosed on the story. If the publication or its owners hold a position in an asset that is the subject of coverage, that is disclosed too.
Editorial independence
Commercial and editorial decisions are kept separate. Nobody buying advertising has sight of or influence over what appears in the news section, and no editorial decision is taken on the basis of a commercial relationship. Our editorial policy sets out how coverage is decided.
