Short, because we collect very little.

What we collect
Rare Dollar is a static website. Pages are prerendered files served from a content delivery network, and reading them requires no account and no cookie.
Which means:
- We do not set advertising or tracking cookies.
- We do not build profiles of readers, and we do not sell data to anybody.
- Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP address, user agent and requested URL, for security and to measure traffic volume. Those are retained on their infrastructure under their terms.
Theme preference
If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is stored in your own browser under the
key rd-theme. It never leaves your device and it is not readable by us. Clearing
your site data removes it.
Third parties
Web fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google when a page opens. Market data is fetched by our build server rather than your browser, which means viewing a price on this site does not contact a data provider from your device.
Articles link to external sites. Once you follow a link, that site is governed by its own privacy policy, not ours.
If you contact us
Email you send us is retained so we can respond and keep a record of corrections and complaints. We do not add correspondents to a mailing list.
Your rights
If you are in the UK, EU or another jurisdiction with equivalent protections, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you. Write to privacy@raredollar.com and we will respond within one month.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated date at the top of this page changes with it. Rare Dollar does not make quiet amendments to it.
