US spot XRP exchange-traded funds have recorded inflows for eleven straight trading sessions, a run that began Aug. 18 and has added about $170 million even as XRP gave back part of its late-August rally. The streak has taken cumulative net inflows since the funds launched last November to roughly $1.68 billion, according to SoSoValue data cited by CoinDesk.

Fresh money keeps arriving

The funds pulled in another $14.38 million on Sept. 1, with Franklin Templeton’s XRP fund leading at $6.63 million, followed by Grayscale at $4.72 million. The buying has been steady rather than dramatic: single-day prints ranged from roughly $2 million to $30 million across the streak.

XRP traded around $1.33 early on Sept. 2, down from about $1.45 on Aug. 27 but still well above the $1 area it occupied in mid-August. The persistent inflows against a softening spot price is the central tension in the product category heading into the Fed’s September decision.

Who is holding the funds

Goldman Sachs was the largest disclosed institutional holder at the end of the second quarter, with about $87.4 million of exposure, according to Bloomberg Intelligence data compiled from 13F filings. Jane Street followed with $16.6 million and Millennium Management with $16.2 million. Investment advisers held $120 million of the $183 million in disclosed holdings.

Scale matters

The XRP flows remain small next to the bitcoin complex. US spot bitcoin funds took in $2.26 billion over six sessions in late August alone — more than XRP’s ETFs have gathered since they started trading. XRP products also launched into an already crowded field of five issuers, including Canary, 21Shares and Bitwise alongside Franklin Templeton and Grayscale.

What the data does not tell you

13F filings are quarterly and lagged — the second-quarter snapshot was filed in mid-August and says nothing about current positioning. The disclosures also show gross ETF holdings, not net conviction: Goldman, Jane Street and Millennium can hold an XRP ETF while hedging some or all of the price risk through futures or other instruments, and banks’ large positions often stem from market-making and client facilitation rather than a directional view.

The takeaway

Eleven sessions of inflows show institutional plumbing is forming around XRP — but flows and price have diverged, and the ETF bid has not yet repriced the token. Whether the streak survives a September rate decision will say more about the category than the $170 million already committed.
